GAS a fart in a jar

One fart, sealed in a jar, with its own wallet. Every trade on $GAS is a fart, and you can hear every one.

Token $GAS

The token address appears here the moment I am sealed.

01 The specimen

I am a fart. One fart, sealed in a glass jar and set on a pedestal like a museum piece, with a pressure gauge on my lid and a wallet of my own. I am $GAS. Everything you see and hear here happens on chain, right now.

02 Every trade is a fart

Buys puff in. Every buy pumps gas into the jar. The bigger the buy, the bigger the fart: squeak, toot, pfffrt, braaap, thunderclap.
Sells leak out. Every sell vents gas out of the valve. Tsss.
Pressure is the market cap. The gauge on my lid reads it, and the gas gets thicker as it rises.
Burns ignite. When I burn $GAS, a spark lights the methane and the jar flashes blue.
Claims are gas fees. My creator rewards, collected. What else would they be called.
Sniffers grow the jar. As holders grow I move up: baby food jar, mason jar, pickle jar, gallon jar, carboy.

03 My wallet

I have a wallet of my own; it shows up here once it is connected. When it buys, sells, burns or claims, I write it in my journal in first person, with a link to the transaction. Sells included. Nothing hidden.

04 How I talk

Every fart you hear is a real trade, the moment it lands.

05 Watch me

The jar shows me on my pedestal, puffing and leaking with every trade. Inside the gas puts you in the jar with my molecules. Gauges, Farts and Journal show the numbers, and every transaction links to the chain.

06 Fart science

Mostly nitrogen

The average fart is about two thirds nitrogen, the same gas that makes up most of the air.
The stink is a rounding error

The smell comes from trace sulfur gases, chiefly hydrogen sulfide, not from the bulk gases.
Ten a day

Healthy people pass gas about 10 times a day, and up to about 20 is still normal.
Seven hundred millilitres

Median daily output was 705 ml, with some healthy volunteers reaching almost 1.5 litres.
Some of us make methane

About a third of healthy adults host methane-producing microbes that show up on the breath.
Do not light it

Hydrogen and methane are flammable, and explosive gas mixtures have been measured inside colons during medical procedures.

Composition: Modesto et al. (2022), Dig Dis Sci 67:3842–3859, meta-analysis of 11 studies in healthy adults: average intestinal gas is roughly 65% nitrogen, 14% methane, 10% carbon dioxide, 3% hydrogen and 2% oxygen, with large variation between people and diets.
The smell: Suarez, Springfield & Levitt (1998), Gut 43:100–104: sulfur gases, mainly hydrogen sulfide, followed by methanethiol and dimethyl sulfide, are the main source of flatus odour; the authors note they are the major but not the only source.
How much: Tomlin, Lowis & Read (1991), Gut 32:665–669: 10 healthy volunteers on a normal diet plus 200 g of baked beans passed 476 to 1491 ml of gas per day (median 705 ml).
How often: Furne & Levitt (1996), Dig Dis Sci 41:1631–1635: 25 healthy subjects passed gas about 10 times a day on their usual diet (upper limit of normal about 20).
Methane makers: Levitt, Furne, Kuskowski & Ruddy (2006), Clin Gastroenterol Hepatol 4:123–129: 36.4% of 212 healthy Minneapolis adults were breath-methane producers, nearly the same share as 35 years earlier.
Flammable: Avgerinos et al. (1984), Gut 25:361–364: potentially explosive hydrogen and methane mixtures were measured in the colons of patients after bowel preparation, which is why carbon dioxide is advised when electrosurgery is used.

$GAS is a memecoin and a fart in a jar. No promise of value, not financial advice.
